(Ich meine nicht so Kleinkram wie nen Typo fixen oder so, sondern wirklich auch "kritische" Änderungen - manchmal kann man live zu sehen in dem man immer mal die Seite neu lädt)

Hi everyone,
I'm posting here because I don't have a dedicated channel to discuss MG4Control and everything around it.
Over the past few weeks, several users have contacted me privately to report that a paid app reuses MG4Control's code : 45 dollars for an install licence, 90 dollars for source code access.
Let me be clear right away: this is entirely legal. I released MG4Control under the MIT licence, which explicitly permits resale, including without contributing changes back. The author also credits me properly on his licence page. I'm not here to cause him any trouble, so I won't name the app or post a link.
My mistake was choosing MIT over GPLv3, assuming nobody would try to monetise this project. I'm happy to pass the lesson on in case it's useful to other developers here: if you want improvements made to your work to stay available to everyone, MIT won't protect that.
Making money from my project isn't the issue. What bothers me more is that improvements and fixes are being made without being shared back with the community and the fact that, where it's actually promoted and sold, it's presented as an entirely new application. The credit to MG4Control does exist, but on a licence sub-page rather than anywhere a buyer would see it.
All I really want people to know is this: if all you're after is profile management (drive mode, regen, one-pedal, heated seats and steering wheel), applying those automatically at startup, and custom shortcuts, that already exists free and open source:
The paid app does more — it adds features unrelated to the original code, and if those appeal to you, it has its place. But for the core functionality, you don't need to pay.
And if you ever come across someone about to pay for features that are already available for free, feel free to point them to the repo. That's really the whole reason for this post.

Wie gesagt, wegen der MIT Lizenz ist das legal - moralisch finde ich das (persönlich) ziemlich verwerflich.. Ich möchte jeden animieren das Open source original durch zB eine Spende zu unterstützen und nicht 90$ für Code zu bezahlen der schon öffentlich ist.
Links und rechts vorne auch fertig konserviert. Spaß macht das ausdrücklich nicht 😂
Das im 3. Bild ist Dämmung und ist wie ein Schwamm (nimmt Flüssigkeit extrem auf - denke das ist mir die größte Schwachstelle im Kotflügel Bereich). Rest eigentlich unspektakulär wirklich nur ein maximaler Krampf das ohne Bühne zu machen.

Protkenny Glaube das ist der Punkt vom Angießen (sieht bei mir genauso aus). Nimm vielleicht mal eine Nadel oder so und guck mal ob du sie durchstecken kannst..
Beim MG4 sind die Ventile für den Druckausgleich hinten (also sie entlüften quasi in die Heckklappe damit man sie A nicht sieht und damit B kein Schmutz reinkommt). Laut MG ist dies konstruktionsbedingt notwendig, weil die Heckscheinwerfer sonst bei schnellen Temperatur- und Höhenunterschieden brechen/reißen könnten (des Designs wegen).

In sofern auch die Begründung das Kondensat in einem gewissen Rahmen normal ist solange es nach einer gewissen Zeit wieder verschwindet. MG tauscht die Leuchten erst wenn sie den Status "Aquarium" erreicht haben. Dazu gibts beim MG4 bereits diverse Beiträge - entsprechend spare ich mir das hier..
Das ist übrigens auch kein MG exklusives Problem sondern existiert bei sehr vielen modernen Fahrzeugen aller Marken.
Risse würde man sehr deutlich sehen:
