After more than a week of daily driving, I no longer have any issues with overspeed warnings. The switch is always set correctly. 🥳

The new version was installed yesterday afternoon. To be on the safe side, I uninstalled the old version first and then installed the new test version.
I’ve only taken four trips so far, but it’s worked every time.

Ich frag mich echt wer bei MG die Software baut.
Das habe ich mich auch schon gefragt.
Ich bin noch immer der Meinung, wenn MG mal nur für einen Tag einen Entwickler abbestellen würden der sich die Software anschaut, wären viele Kinderkrankheiten ausgemerzt.
Ich erwarte ja nicht mal neue Features, sondern einfach nur die bestehenden Funktionen bereinigen.
Aber was solls, wenn ich bedenke wieviel Auto ich für den Preis erhalten habe, bin ich happy.
So the issue only occurs in firmware versions that use two types of alerts (speed limit and speed limit changes) and only when the car is started (there’s no problem when the profile is applied manually).

I installed the latest version, v2.6.0.
This only affects the overspeed alarm switch. The speed-limit-change alarm is always set correctly and remains correct.
I’ve already noticed that the overspeed alarm resets after the MG4-Control app sets the profile correctly. But whenever I try to record a video, it works correctly, of course.
I suspect this has something to do with CPU load. Depending on how quickly it finishes the boot process, the switch is set correctly or not.
Hence my assumption that even a small delay of, say, 0.1 seconds would be enough.

Yes, this issue is known.
It doesn’t seem to happen all the time and (presumably) only occurs with the SWI133 MG4 Lux. Sometimes it can also be simulated manually. I’ve seen the second switch for the Over-Speed-Alert reset itself.
SliDeeN: That’s the same bug I’ve tried to reliably reproduce before. I suspect a small delay might help.

Eine doofe Frage dennoch; wäre es möglich, die Kamerabilder beim Blinken entsprechend 90° zu drehen, so dass sie in Fahrtrichtung passen?
Evtl. liegts auch an mir aber mein Gehirn ist da irgendwie immer etwas überfordert vorne und hinten mit links/rechts abzugleichen.
